SMTCL VMC1100Q is the flagship large-format model in the Q-series vertical machining center family, purpose-engineered for oversized components that exceed the capacity of conventional VMCs. With 1100×620×600mm travels and a 1300×610mm worktable supporting 1000kg, it handles large mold bases, construction machinery housings, wind power components, and heavy industrial parts with ease.
Driven by an 11/15kW FANUC spindle motor delivering 95.5 N.m peak torque and controlled by the FANUC Oi-MF Plus TYPE(5) CNC system, the VMC1100Q combines formidable cutting power with precision. The heavily reinforced cast iron base with extra-wide 55mm linear roller guideways on all axes provides the structural rigidity needed for aggressive material removal on large steel and cast iron workpieces. Optional 4th axis rotary table extends capability to multi-face machining of long shafts and large-diameter flanges.
1100×620×600mm travels with 1300×610mm worktable. Accommodates parts that would require a gantry mill in many shops. The 1000kg table load handles heavy castings, large mold bases, and structural weldments.
11/15kW spindle motor with 95.5 N.m peak torque paired with 55mm extra-wide linear guideways on all axes. Confidently tackle face milling, deep pocketing, and heavy roughing on steel, cast iron, and superalloys.
Maintains IT6 accuracy with positioning at 0.012/0.008/0.008mm and repeatability at 0.006/0.005/0.005mm across the full 1100mm X-axis travel. Laser-calibrated and ballbar-tested before shipment.
Optional 4th axis rotary table enables single-setup machining of multiple faces on long shafts, large flanges, and box-type components. Eliminates refixturing errors and reduces total machining time.
