CNC lathe is a kind of machine tool which controls the workpiece processing by computer program. It can automatically process according to the pre-input program, including turning, boring, tapping and other processes.
● Main Spindle: The main spindle consists of a spindle assembly and the spindle drive system. These are some of the moving parts of the CNC machine tool, and they include motors, gears, and the chuck. In addition, the C-axis drive which helps to position the material will also be assembled with the spindle.
● Guide Way: It enables the tool to move horizontally and vertically to achieve a smooth cutting process.
● Chuck: A chuck is a structure that holds the parts to be machined. It is attached to the main spindle that rotates both the chuck and the workpiece.
● Headstock: Comprising the main motor, the headstock holds the main spindle where the chuck is mounted on.
The working principle of CNC lathes is to control the movement and processing parameters of machine tools through a computer control system. The operator first needs to write the machining program, including the workpiece geometry, processing path, cutting parameters, etc. Then the program is entered into the numerical control system, and the machine tool automatically processes according to the program.
In the working process of CNC lathe, the computer control system will control the various axial movement of the machine tool according to the pre-input program, and control the feed speed and cutting depth of the tool, so as to complete the processing of the workpiece. The entire processing process can be automated and high-precision machining, improving production efficiency and product quality.
